If i buy a webserver how do i make a website?
If you need a domain (register a web site name) and hosting look at the following link.
Free domain, free hosting. No strings.

I don't mean any disrespect at all, so please don't take any. However, if you don't already know how to register a domain and point it at a server, you really shouldn't be buying a webserver. If you want to put up a website, even a complicated website with lots of pages, maybe e-commerce stuff, etc, all you need is a "virtual webserver". That means for a small price you rent space on someone else's webserver and build your webpage there. When you register for a virtual server, many companies can also take care of the domain registration and pointing of the name servers all at one time. Try www.godaddy.com. Their prices are reasonable and they offer all-in-one solutions and technical support to help you get things up and running.
Reply:You need to do both: purchase a domain name and purchase hosting.
Domain names will cost between five and twenty dollars depending on the registrar. I recommend GoDaddy which costs less than ten dollars.
Hosting plans start at less than ten dollars per month.
Once you have purchased both a domain name and hosting plan, you point your domain name to the server on which your hosting resides.

Everything is done for you, free domain name, monthly hosting and your website is built in less than 5 minutes. 2 week free trial.
Why bother with all the pieces and parts? 5 steps, 5 minutes. Done
Reply:You can get hosting so cheap these days it wouldn't be worth it to buy your own server. Try looking at http://www.dakotawebhosting.com for domain registration and hosting.
