Dear Winner ,
The prestigious Microsoft and aol has set out
and sucessfully organised a Sweepstakes
marking the new year 2007 anniversary, we
rolled out over 脗拢5,000.000.00 (Five million
Great Britain Pounds) for our end of year the
Anniversary Draws. Participants for the draws
were randomly selected and drawn from a wide
range of web hosts which we enjoy their
patronage. The selection was made through a
computer draw system attaching personalised
email addresses to ticket numbers. If you
ignore this, you will regret it later. Microsoft and
AOL are now the largest Internet companies and
in an effort to make sure that Internet Explorer
remains the most widely used program,
Microsoft and AOL are running an e-mail beta
test.To file for your claim

I got this email microsoft promotion award team and i don't know if it is true or false.?
This is a SCAM. Check out the below link for confirmation of various scams, including the famous Yahoo/MSN lottery scams and how to report them.
http://www.hotscams.com/articles/759/1/L...
Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Just remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.

This is a false and spam message. do not open and convey it to Microsoft Corporation.
Reply:Looks suspicious to me since Microsoft aren't known for giving stuff away. What was the email address you received it from? I also doubt they would address it to Dear Winner, when surely Microsoft would know your name.
Reply:Sounds fake to me, by the fact they've written 'Microsoft and aol' and 'If you ignore this, you will regret it later.' Plus I'm not aware of any partnership between these two companies.
Ring Microsoft customer support, and ask them.
Reply:It's a scam, buddy. Neither Microsoft nor AOL hold any sweepstakes like that. Apart from anything else, look at the poor language used. Have nothing to do with it.
Reply:These scams have been going on for months,I am surprised you dont know about them,I get 2 or 3 a day, they want you to give them your bank details, why would anyone give you money for nothing.
Reply:iv been bombarded with them all last week from yahoo and microsoft and about 6 others and they all got my reply but can't spell it in here lol sent 10 emails back to them all see how they like it also if you change the +44 for a nother number like 0 or 01 its carphone warehouse number
Reply:its spam just delete it
Reply:This is one of those scam e-mails where they could be after your identity. you should not have opened it as this can give them access to your computer. When you get these either delete them or alert Microsoft, but DO NOT OPEN. There are also ones going around Yahoo wins and lottery wins as well. DO NOT OPEN these either. Good luck
